drifting
Emptiness, now a familiar sensation.
A sad lump of nothingness, in and out of conciousness with no concept of day or night.
Staring at the wall, you turn to see the half eaten sandwhich you made a few hours back
or was it was it two days ago when you took a bite just so you could take your medication.
Your phone vibrates and the screen lights up.
"4 missed calls"
"61 messages from 57 chats"
"9 emails"
but you turn your phone over to face down.
Comfortable yet unbearable is the silence that gives way to your screaming thoughts of uselessness and underrated value and the resurfacing of the reccuring question:
"would anyone notice I just...left"
The tears return with you no longer controlling their frequent back and forth.
Eyes leaden and vision blurs as you revert back to what has been keeping you from the memories that haunt you.
Slowly you drift off.
